LA Animal Services and the ASPCA Los Angeles Spay/Neuter Clinic Celebrate 5 Year Anniversary
In the past 5 years the ASPCA performed over 14,000 spay/neuter surgeries at its clinic in South Los Angeles as a part of the Chesterfield Square Animal Services Center
Los Angeles, May 8, 2019 – Los Angeles Animal Services and the ASPCA® (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®) celebrated the 5-year anniversary of the ASPCA Los Angeles Spay/Neuter Clinic last week. The clinic, which opened its doors on May 6, 2014 at its Chesterfield Square Center location, has performed over 14,000 spay/neuter surgeries for shelter pets in the care of Los Angeles Animal Services, while also performing other services such as micro-chip implantations, vaccines and flea-control treatments as well.
“Los Angeles Animal Services wants to first and foremost congratulate the ASPCA on five years of important work that has helped many animals in Los Angeles,” said LA Animal Services General Manager Brenda Barnette. “The services that are provided at the ASPCA Spay/Neuter Clinic are important for animal welfare, and we are happy to share our Chesterfield Square center with such a fantastic team.”

The ASPCA Los Angeles Spay/Neuter Clinic is open Tuesday through Saturday, and they accept dogs and cats on a walk-in basis beginning at 7 a.m. until they are full. Intake may take up to an hour and pick up is generally between 3 – 4 p.m. on the same day.
