Celebrate National Rescue Dog Day with LA Animal Services By Adding a Furry Animal Friend to Your Family
Los Angeles, May 20, 2020 – Today is National Rescue Dog Day, and what better way to celebrate than by adopting or fostering a furry four-legged friend from LA Animal Services? National Rescue Dog Day was established to bring awareness to the wonderful dogs in shelters who need homes of their own.
Animal Services Centers are open by appointment due to COVID-19 so you can still adopt or foster a pet today. To learn more about scheduling an appointment for adopting/fostering, please read our press release “How YOU Can Help! Foster.Adopt.Donate.“ for more instructions.
If you are currently unable to adopt or foster, but want to show your support to LA Animal Services and the community we serve, please consider making a donation to our Community Pet Food Pantry.
LA Animal Services is establishing a pet food pantry to help ensure there will be pet food available to assist owners who may need help feeding their dogs or cats.
If you would like make a pet food donation, we can accept unopened bags of food and canned food.
Beauty
Beauty was a resident at our Harbor Animal Services Center for almost a year. She was recently adopted when her new mom visited the Center after her beloved German Shepard passed away. After spending some quality time with Beauty, she knew Beauty was the one for her and decided to take her home!
Higgins
After almost a year with LA Animal Services, Higgins was adopted! As you can see from the happy smiles, his new family absolutely adores him!
Archie
Archie is a 2-year-old pup who was adopted by a wonderful family anxious to take him on walks and hikes. He’ll also be their stay at home buddy while everyone is working from home.
If you have adopted or are currently fostering a four-legged friend from LA Animal Services, we would love to hear from you! Share your photos and tell us about your experience by filling out this form, and your story may featured on our social media channels!
