L.A. Animal Services and the Pet Care Foundation Host Chi-Pitty-Kitty Adoption Event at all L.A. City Shelters!
Los Angeles, April 19, 2018 – This Saturday and Sunday, April 21st and 22nd, you can find a new furry family member on four paws! The Pet Care Foundation is making bringing home a new pet a little easier this weekend with their monthly adoption event that reduces fees when you take a pet home. All dog and cat adoptions will be reduced by $50 during the Chi-Pitty-Kitty event at all 6 L.A. City animal services centers.
“This event is meant to call attention to the high volume of chihuahuas, pit bull terriers, and cats in shelters,” said Bill Crowe, director of the Pet Care Foundation, “These animals make wonderful companions, please consider adopting one this weekend.”
“This is a perfect time to visit and add a cat or dog to your family,” said Brenda Barnette, L.A. Animal Services General Manager, “You’ll meet many wonderful dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and colors just waiting to become your new best friend.”
Our adoption rates during the Chi-Pitty-Kitty event will drop to $52 for dog adoptions and $26 for cat adoptions. This fee also includes vaccinations, microchip, and spaying or neutering. A $20 license fee will apply to all L.A. City residents who adopt dogs that are 4 months and older.
