Thank You for Helping Us Reach Our $25,000 Goal During the Petco Foundation Matching Grant Campaign

Los Angeles, July 20, 2020 — LA Animal Services would like to thank YOU – our animal-loving community – for your support during the Petco Matching Grant campaign. Thanks to your amazing generosity, we reached our goal of $25,000, and as a result Petco Foundation will match the $25,000 donated! The donations received and the Petco Foundation grant will go towards providing enrichment for our shelter guests while they wait for us to find them new homes of their own; helping to reunite lost pets with their families; and help stock our Pet Food Pantry for people who need assistance feeding their pets during these challenging times.

“LA Animal Services is grateful to the community for their donations and to the Petco Foundation for allowing us the opportunity to participate in this matching grant,” said Brenda Barnette, LA Animal Services General Manager. “We are proud to partner with the Petco Foundation. Their commitment and leadership in life saving is making a huge difference for our animal friends.”

This grant is part of the Petco Foundation’s Pledge to Save Pet Lives during this COVID-19 crisis by distributing $1M in product and cash donations and putting out a national call to implore animal lovers to take action to help save animal lives. This commitment follows the Petco Foundation’s recent distribution of more than $13M to animal welfare organizations nationwide.
